Coimbatore Book Fair

Its quite suprising for me to hear that Coimbatore also starting conducting Book Fair, used to go regularly to Chennai Book Fair every January, but missed out this year.......ya but fine that the Coimbatore Book Fair was opened during this month till 27th of may.

Book Fair gave opportunity to buy more tamil books as they are store house of tamil books from stories to novels, history etc it give more options from different publishers.

english books and specifically non fiction books and the best place to buy is landmark...........excellent place to search, get and buy books............and i call landmark as one of my friend

bought some of the tamil books this time by Sugi Sivam, books on Che Guevera, Fidal Castro, Subash Chandra Bose,Stalin.............will keep updating on these books as i keep reading on it...

current reading are what are you doing with your life by j.krishnamurthi,martin luther king jr and first one on Che Guevera...(next updation will be on Che Guevera)

Next planning to start reading on Indina Culture and History books looks interesting for me to read about our History and Culture...................................................

Some of the Interesting topics and books that i came across in paper is one by Mr.R.Gopalakrishnan, Diretor of Tata Sons on The Case on Bonsai Manager, few interesting books on Turnaround strategy of companies which appreared recently in newspaper like Turnaround Excellence, Five Minds for the future and The three tensions...

And also important articles publised by CP Chandresekar and Jayati Ghosh...........on Macroscan.com on Indian Economics..........

With all internet coming and book available through net, its more interesting and good read through books, i enjoy reading through books on paper based rather than on internet.........

Moved to Coimbatore on 3rd Nov 06 got settled at my cousins place called Ganapathy. Then my boss came to Coimbatore, we visited all the Key Clients of Coimbatore....its a good experiance and interesting task to handle the clients at Coimbatore.

After initial few days at Coimbatore....started and hunting for house searching at Coimbatore....got at last a good house a one of the place called Sai Baba Colony, the reason to find a house at this place is as we are opening a new branch in nearby place called Thudiyalur.

My packing materials came from Hyderabad to Coimbatore....all my books to read.....all the kitchen utensils and other materials and stuff at Coimbatore. Started back the task of daily cooking and going ahead to office.......

The good news is that my Tiger is Back (TVS Victor).

Hope to start reading my habit of reading books.

Within a short span of time of 15 months, me covered the following cities.............
My Home Town...........Trichy ......completed all my studies (till now) in Trichy.....
then joined ING Vysya Bank @ Chennai, Mylapore office, in between in Bangalore of Training....
after that moved to HDFC Bank....a new city Hyderabad.
Spending a good time at Hyderabad for 5 months then decided to move and arrived at Coimbatore (Textile City) of India.

Its Back to Tamil Nadu, short distance travel to Home and visiting Mom and Dad with less than 6 hours.

To start my new assignment a challenging assingment in Career at Coimabtore ....in my life a new city....meeting new people.....
To start again my Reading Habit of Books its been long time i have read books which was at Hyderabad.

Moving out of Hyderabad!!

Its a beautiful city, i am moving out of Hyderabad....to good city and back to Tamil Nadu its Coimbatore.
Life at Hyderabad was good, spending good time at office, getting up, cooking something to eat or sometimes at Hotel then move ahead to office lods of work completing the task. As life moved on from June to Oct 2006, my boss offered me option to move and handle Coimbatore Corporate Banking division.
Leaving behind at Corporate Banking Hyderabad, my collegues spent much time with them chating, going out etc. Rajesh, Mousom, Philip, Bere, Chellavar & Srihari.
Had a nice time at Hyderabad..................started packing all my goods and things from Hyderabad and moving ahead to new city.

Moved into Hyderabad in June 06 !!!

A begining of another new career in Banking Industry.Life moves on.
Its a new place, new people, new food and new job. Corporate Banking its called.

A good city Hyderabad, office at Lakadikapul, initial few days at friends house, then went training the usual training session in any organisation for week. Then house hunting from small house to big house at last got a house at good place called marredpally.

But roads are here pathetic, the city is good when compared to Chennai, not that traffic but the bad part is that the way people ride the vehicles from cycle, two wheelers, auto, cars, lorries and buses no discipline. Its their wish and way of driving in the road.
Food, everyone says food at hyderabad is very spicy, ya spice is there, at the same time the food also good, still to get adjusted for the food.

Started cooking the way i wanted, something special its called cure rice with pickels.

One week with half life....

Its usually not a busy day in Office going by 10.00 a.m in the morning and leaving the office by 7.30 p.m and just going but with work suddenly started on 24th of September to be cleared before 30th September 2005, and it really sucked my life and blood with work load and working in bank on the day 28th till 11 p.m to complete and at last i could complete my job by 3rd of October finally giving a deep breath for next one week with less work at last.......

20,000 Km of TIGER

This is about my vehicle TN 45 T 5069, the TVS Victor vehicle, which has crossed 20,000 km and it’s all about the vehicle, which my dad gave to me (sorry i acquired from him).
It has crossed now 20k km on Sunday 3rd when we were coming back to Trichy from Tanjore. It was good wonderful ride to Tanjore under raining condition and riding in a 80 km/hr on the NH road. We went to first Sarfoji Palace one of the Maratha King and Saraswathi Mahal Library the collection of books of Sarfoji, a brief description about him is that is one of king interested in Paintings and reading books, the library had good collection old books from medical to literature and oldest dictionary and even many Tamil manuscripts written in leaves(Olai suvadi). He had special library which collection of his book he has read.

Then we went to Govind's house one of the old house(having thinnai and other old traditional house features) this brings back to me the my Grandparents house in the village near my home town. After spending sometime in Govind's house we went to Mariamman temple and after having darisanam we left from. Its Nimmy again with me in the bike.

Joke of the Day: Before leaving from Tanjore,
I said to Nimmy " we shall reach Hostel in 30 min"
Nimmy " we will reach hospital in 30 min".

UNFORGETABLE MOMUMENT: MINOR ON HIS GIRLFRIENDS BIRTHDAY TOOK HER IN MY BIKE, THE TIGER AGAIN HAD LEG PROBLEM SO, MINOR COULD NOT RIDE THE VEHICLE , SPENT REST OF THE TIME WITH MY TIGER ON REPAIRING HIM.

The Last Assignment

With just 3 more days for college to get over, it comes to closing down the curtain for assignments in BIM, i still remember the days of assignment, where we work as an individual and group to complete the assingnments. Its 23rd June 2003, the first assignment we all received from our Shankar Sir on DM(Decision Modelling) to complete by next with clueless and we were told to form a group of 5 to discuss and submit the assingnment, with this start we begin the journey of assingments from Marketing,FRPA, and then then.....and even in second year too with electives also continued, with the final sessions coming to end the B2B assingment is The Last Assignment.
These assignment not just submission of the topic in the form of soft copy or hard copy its also the presentation too. We begin the assignments not early but the 11th hour and with the support of Google we work overnight, and some of our people without sleeping in the night like one of the old man its Govind whose place would be room or cc working for assignments. We also do assignments for others too like that of our Billu boy did few assignment for our first years!!!. With some assignments earned good appreciation from the faculties and some good experiance and some funny experinace too.

Uncle ji metamorphed into a new brand young srini in the second yr. but still the same as far as real srini is concerned. He is the real manager. As the saying goes, planning, organising, delegating etc.one of the guys who keeps the 20th batch machine running

Unclejii as popularly called!!! A really cool guy who has a shown a lot of initiatives in organising anything from a B'day to TRIP. He is very resourceful. I always say him his wife is the luckiest as she can sleep in his pillow like tummy!!!

Uncleji -When the task is at hand and no-one around ...Unclejii is the saviour who rushes to the rescue.

Be it Juniors (hmmm.) or Us or as a matter of fact any mortal - Uncleji showers his affection upon all.

His mini projects are legendary - u name it he did it! A people's guy Uncleji is All in All.

The days are being counted with just 1 week to go, for the classroom sessions to get over, my school life at R.S.K Hr sec school, then my graduation at St.Joseph College, with unforgetable momments and now my important part of life is BIM with just few days to go and 12 days for exams and with this the college life comes to end.

Hot sunny days ahead......Ways and Means to beat the heat

Its going to be hot sunny days ahead in Trichy, it already started to fry the pan(the earth) very hot and we at BIM already being served by yummy..yummy watermelon for us in the mess and one has to keep an eye the time the fruit is being cut, so that we can get good slice which is red in colour and tasty, the normal allocation for any individual is one and one may get more than one at later part of time if you go to mess.
With hot sunny day its business as usual for the Om shree shop for fruit juice with variety of juices like, Orange, Pineapple,Apple,Lemon etc. good business na!!!
Now everyone like to class room or to CC for keeping away from the hot day one can be there in the AC room, its hot when we come out.
Its late evening time in the hostel, fan the machine to have under our shoulders to beat the heat.

Now ways and means to beat the heat....
Drink water, cool man to get water from the cooler,
Fruit drinks at the Om shree shop if u have money with u,
The cola drinks not good for the health but sometimes feels good at the time of thirst.
And could someone recomment Welfare Committee to put up aircooler in the room? he he hee..

The Traffic Jam

The traffic jam is when i went to Uthamar Kovil, I got caught in the traffic caused by a bus which got punctured near the old iron bridge to temple, it took almost 1 hour for me to cross the place. A traffic jam is not only in the roads its also in the life too, in life also there will be moments of traffic jam and if you not able to go out it will take long time for a person to come out the life's traffic jam, those are the hard moments where all our works gets stuck we try to over come it, the faster we come out, the faster we move atlast everything is in the God's hand to clear the vehicle and decided when to put the Green,Yellow or Red signal in the life.

God's Own Country

It was the mega trip of the 20th Batch we decided to go and the place is Kerala-Cochin, nice city to visit we decided to go by bus and booked 2 buses and planned for 3 day trip, we left from Trichy BIM hostel on 12th of March 2005, with good number of students of 82 around 9 p.m, finished the poojay on the way in a temple, and started moving now it was journey we kept moving in between we stopped and enjoyed and had tuff time again calling people to board the bus. We reached the place we are going to stay for the first day a Ashram called Shanti Giri, nice beautiful place to stay and after having the Kerala type breakfast we moved towards Veegaland, a water theme park, for fun,fun,fun...etc. Had lots of fun for rest of the day, now its time to leave around 5 p.m, getting again people back, was a tough time. At last we moved from there around 6 p.m where i got upset and reached back the place we are going to stay, i decided not take the dinner and slept. Thats the end of the Day1 of the trip. The Day 2 for the trip we decided to go Athirapally Falls and Cherai Beach, after having the breakfast its time to check out from the place and left to Athirapally falls, on the way we were joined by Thatha and Sabari, and later Guruji and Nair also joined on the way to Athirapally falls, by the time we reached the falls it was hot sunny day, and to avoid getting headache i moved out from the place and we all had a good lunch near the falls, after having the lunch we moved towards Cherai Beach, a beautifull beach spent the rest of the time and then left towards to Marine Drive of Cochin to spend time for shopping and everyone had their dinner in marine drive. Waited waited and atlast everyone reached to move from the place to day 2 stay around 10.30 and we satyed in the place a beautiful apartment converted hotel. The end of Day 2. The next day, started with more beauty of backwaters and after having our breakfast we moved towards Cochin Backwaters for a boat ride, it was a boat ride for more than 2 hours and had our lucnch at Boulgaty Islands and spent sometime in the island where it is surrounded by water!!!. We left from the island and moved towards back to Trichy from Cochin around 5 p.m and atlast reached back next day around 5 a.m.

My Moments in the tour: It was a unforgettable tour for me and it was toughest assignment to handle such a large gang of people. Did I enjoyed the tour? the question I still ask to me after comig back.

It was a last minute plan to go to Pillayarpatti one of the temple in Karaikudi around 100 km, the plan to go was by Appuchi and we decided to go by bike and accompanied with me was Nimmy and a big gang of 25 guys with 10 bikes and Dilips car started around 2.30 p.m and left the campus and the road was good and riding at around 80-90 km/hr was wonderful experiance for me and was a smooth riding on the way to temple we went to Kundrakudi, it was beautiful Murugan temple and we reached Pillayarpatti around, 6.15 p.m and after having a good darsan we left from there around 7.30 to Trichy and it was my first ride by bike in night for a long distance and on return it was Sara who accoumpanied with me, on the way we had our dinner at Pudukottai. This was one of my unforgotable moment in bike and its my first ride for about around 200 km, in a single day and back to campus around 10.30.
